Hi Jane, I apologise for not writing sooner. I understand that Fibromyalgia and MS are in fact similar conditions so I can understand why you could relate. I can also understand that it stole a lot from you, but you must try and find something to keep you going when it gets very tough for you to handle. Most importantly, like you said, we must not give up because life always gives us something in return, we just have to look out for it.

thank you for reading my blog and for being in touch!
Take care and keep well xx

As l was reading your blog you reminded me of myself ,l do not have Ms as far as l know because some of the symptoms you mentioned, l relate to as well .
I was a very hard worker at home helping my mum with daily chores of a large family and a home that l used to clean ,cook for 8 people, doing the laundry and shopping daily .
This was a long time ago when l was just 14yrs.
I got married at the age of 22yrs.A year later l had my son, time passed he began to go to school and l felt lonely at home so l decided to go out and find my first job.
So l began my first job in a well established hotel in Sliema ,housekeeping was the position they offered and being used to this l agreed.
Time passed and l was so happy that my superiors decided to promote me .
This now was a position that l had a lot of resposableties, anxiety got to me and l began to feel the weight. I was respected and very helpfull from my superiors.
I felt pain all over ,feeling tired and could not concentrate.
A lot of nights l could not sleep and my strength got worse .
I decided to talk to my GP and referee me to hospital ,Reumathology Dept.
After blood tests and tests and more tests finally l was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
Now l have to deal with feeling pain EVERY day, sometimes days of pain in different parts of my body.
This condition stole a lot from me,so when l over do it l have to pay for it days after.
So dear l know a little bit of your feelings of all this.
I wish you courage and not to give up because life has always something rewarding to give us.
Take care and God bless you.

Yes i totally agree with you being grateful to MS. I also do feel the same although at times i feel that i am only existing instead of living until i see the look in my children’s eyes. That look makes me feel grateful that i have MS as otherwise my life wouldnt have been like this if I did not have MS. The denial phase (first couple of months) was the hardest part of it all during these past 12 years until I finally managed to adapt and tackle each day differently.

Thanks for sharing again, always a pleasure following the blog. Keep well life surfer! 🙂
